About the North Raleigh Interfaith Thanksgiving Service:
In 1994, the ministers of Millbrook Baptist and Millbrook Methodist Churches endeavored to create an ecumenical Thanksgiving service. Soon after, other congregations along the Falls of Neuse corridor joined in the tradition, and by 2004, the consortium had expanded to include ten houses of faith in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim traditions. In 2024, these relationships have also expanded to other parts of Raleigh. Clergy of participating congregations gather monthly for dialogue, and each November, our congregations gather formally to offer our collective and communal gratitude. May God continue to gather us in a spirit of hospitality!
Participating Congregations:
As Salaam Islamic Center | Beth Meyer Synagogue | The Fountain of Raleigh Fellowship | Millbrook Baptist Church | Millbrook United Methodist Church | Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church | St. Paul’s Christian Church | St. Philip Lutheran Church | Saint Raphael Catholic Church | Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh
Parking:
Attendees may park in any marked space along the sides and back of Millbrook’s two main buildings. Overflow parking is available at Millbrook Elementary School, which is directly across the street from the church’s front entrance. The school has a smaller lot accessible from Millbrook Road, and a larger lot accessible from Memory Rd. A crosswalk with traffic signal connects the school’s smaller lot to the church’s second main driveway. Pedestrians can access the main door of the sanctuary. Off-duty police officers will be directing traffic between 6pm – 9pm.

Food Truck and Community Partner:
This year’s service will include a special offering to support A Place at the Table (APATT), Raleigh’s first pay-as-you-can café, whose mission is to provide community and good food to all, regardless of means. Goodness Grace Us, a partner of APATT, will offer a food truck in the Millbrook parking lot before the service. Food will be available for purchase between 4:30-6:30 pm. Their menu can be found here. Your meal can be pre-ordered on their website, and they suggest ordering 15-20 minutes in advance. The pre-order link will be made available on Monday 11/25.
Childcare:
A nursery is provided for children pre-school age and younger.
Reception:
Millbrook will host a time of fellowship and refreshment in our Fellowship Hall immediately following the conclusion of the service. All are welcome!
Streaming:
A livestream of the Thanksgiving service will be available on the Millbrook Baptist Facebook Page: Facebook.com/MillbrookBaptistChurch
