Welcome to the Music Ministry page for Millbrook Baptist Church! If you want to be involved in music ministry at Millbrook, there is a place for you. All are welcome, regardless of previous training, from the youngest to the oldest! Whereas our musical “style” might generally be termed “traditional,” we throw in surprises from time to time, from spirituals to Pachelbel, from Bach to southern Gospel to “contemporary.” Millbrook Baptist Church believes that all musical styles may be employed to praise our Creator, the Giver of the Song. Further, though we have several choirs that provide musical leadership in worship, we believe that the congregation is our primary “choir” whose responsibility and privilege is to raise its collective voice to God in song, both in traditional hymns and newer songs of faith. Come sing or ring or play an instrument with us and feel God’s Spirit swirling among us at Millbrook.

Music Ministry Opportunities
Preschool Music Time
Preschool Music Time takes place Sunday mornings at 9:45 during Sunday School.
Children’s Choir (grades K-5)
Goals include worship education, hymnody, and general music knowledge as well as occasional worship leadership and special programs during Advent and in the spring (Children/Youth Sunday).
Children’s choir will not meet during the summer.
Chancel Choir is open to youth through adults and is the primary worship leadership choir each Sunday. A special musical presentation is given during Advent and sometimes in the spring. Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 7:15-8:30 August through May.
Summer Choir is a great opportunity to sing without making a weekly commitment. Singers come to the choir room at 10:30 on Sunday to rehearse the day’s anthem which is easily learnable and often familiar.
Handbell Choir is open to youth through adults. No previous experience is necessary, though some music-reading ability is helpful. Commitment to regular rehearsal attendance is a must. See the Minister of Music if interested.
Do you play an instrument? We would love for you to lead us in worship through instrumental music. See the Minister of Music who would be happy to learn of your interest!
